Staged welding
When access is only possible from above
Staged welding is used if parts are connected which are both only accessible from above. One electrode is positioned on the top component, with a second on the bottom component. The welded joint is created between the electrodes. The gap between the electrodes has a major influence, as does the position on the components.
Staged welding is preferred over gap welding, as it ensures that the energy flows through both join parts.
